I have been working on the new server, and I have a good feeling that it shouldn't be much longer till it's up.
I might even be able to set it up so Members here at the Portal could use the "ftp" server to host files, but I'll have more info on that later. Keep in mind however that my server runs on a P3, so it is limitted at the moment. Someday in the future I will get a better "Physical Server" that runs on an "Intel Xeon".
Note: "Phyisical Servers" are different from "Software Servers" Physical Servers are basicly a PC that is used for the soul purpose of hosting. Software Servers are programs that turn a PC into a Server.
My server is an AnalogX on a P3, but I will have an Apache2Triad on an Intel Xeon. (Xeons are expensive though.)

Apache seems to be working good on my laptop, but this week I should get it setup on my server. As for my site, I'm gathering info on different genres so I can have lots of streaming music videos on there. With me new server, I can expand my studies so that I can learn php and stuff.

I have my server on Apache2Triad 1.5.3 on an XP Centrino
That "would" be great, but it's my laptop and I can't have it on there all the time.
My main server is making sounds like a cross between a snake hissing and Rice Crispies popping. So I'm afraid it might not live much longer. I have had it since 1998 or so.
I'd use my Dell, but that is also making sounds. I know that it is from the new video card I got to play Guild Wars with, but still it keeps me awake at night if I leave that one on.
My laptop in quiet and runs better than any other computer I have ever used, but like I said before, I can't keep it online all the time.
Oh, One more thing! My cgirdir.exe I used on my website, isn't working on Apache for some reason. Instead, it seems to want to download.
I'm going to be out of town tomorrow, but when I get back later that night I'll see if I can fix my 2 problems here.
