depends really, some people can go from 1-10 in a single day, all depends on what kind of mobs you are fighting and how quickly you are trying to lvl, and when ur ready to do ur sub job quest let me know and i'll help u get the items if u don't already get them while partying

u can do the sub job quest once u r level 18, can activate earlier if u want, and if u are try to do the one in selbina, it'll make it alot easier for u to get the items, cause thats where u will be partying primarily from 12-20 or so, maybe 11 but most people will solo to 12ish, i don't know the items off the top of my head but if u go here ffxi.allakhazam.com/ i'm sure u can find everything out that u need too

sneak is a whm spell that cuts down sound aggro, time varies with it, not sure of the level i think it's a lvl 15 spell, they don't sell for too much but you may want to keep it if ur going to be a white mage

What do skills go up to? I think my mace skill is Lv 22 right now.
I'm trying to do goldsmithing, but so far I'm not even Lv 1 yet, hahaha

theres a formula for combat skills, the only one i know is if ur job class has an A rating in that combat which is 3*current lvl +3, and thats as high as you can take it until u level again, i really haven't done any goldsmithing, have cooking up to lvl 22, clothcraft up to lvl 20 and woodworking i think is 11, everything else is 1 or 0 i think

I went to the website you gave me and I looked up Goldsmithing recipes but would you happen to know what this "skill cap" is? I can't seem to understand what it means.

skill cap means that your skill will not increase anymore once you hit that level, so basically you want to make things that are like 2-3 levels above ur current level to try and get it higher,
