what's the DS service like? do you get any lag on there? can you chat? also if youve tried some games, let me know what you think of the online features in the game. im sure the nintendo rev is online right? well maybe they can even have something that you play online between Nintendo DS and Revolution

I have only played... Animal Crossing: Wild World and... Mario Kart DS
On MKDS you don't get to chat, you can register your friends so they link up with you, but thats about it.
On ACWW you do get to chat, you also get to register your friends like an AIM buddylist almost. The chatting is slow however because you have such a tiny keyboard. The gameplay is fun, but I got too addicted to the game, I was playing it even more than Pokemon, and that means every day for 2 months. I haven't played it since January because I'd get hooked again and I have more important things in life (like Pokemon!) hahaha
oh One MORE thing! On MKDS sometimes lag can be a pain. Laggers jump back and forth, and you never know where they really are. I totaly lapped someone twice because of it. LOL
and yeah, I hope there are NRev/NDS interchangable games. Sega kind did something like that with DC and their VMUs (Visual Memory Units).

Just imagine, a game where you can be online with the handheld sometimes, or maybe even playing single player at a distance vs your own machine when youre on the go. Say you wanted to play a really advanced game that is on NRev,.. but you have to goto the mall for awhile. You could play that and it would send signals to the NRev... hmm but this might be too distracting and also that might not be such a good idea because the handheld would not have its own games instead as much. Hmm but there are alot of possibilities out there, just the idea that you can go online anywhere almost, with something as convenient as a handheld game or program, that would be something that you could make into alot of different areas of peoples lives I think.

Verizon has an online service that costs like $70 or $80 pre month that you can access the net ANYWHERE! I mean ANYWHERE! That is why it costs so much. Anyways, if they had that in handheld gaming, that would be awesome! (expencive, but awesome)
Also, Sony is making an add-on to the upcomming PS3 so you can hook your cable TV upto it and tape shows like a DVR. You can set them to record while you are on vaction and then use your PSP and get online to upload those shows to your PSP (using your PS3 like a server) so you can watch your shows anywhere you go!

whoa.. so the long-distance technology wars begin in full. AHHHHH ...well! this will be a time of technology competing with all other "distractions"... (eating, sleeping, etc. etc.) But seriously, this could be the start of something wonderful. Imagine if you will a person who is going where it is they want to go. They can bring all their music with them. All of their files. Their games. Contact with all friends, family, and acquantences. They can carry their life (!) possibly, all in a few devices. There is a danger, of course, that you would be able to lose all of that stuff to someone or to chance or some weird virus or something. BUT! If you can make it work... it's like a suitcase that carries a house inside and a videophone and a camera and movie player and who knows what else. That might be getting a little overboard but there could be something awesome headed our way, let's look around a bit.
Okay that got a little carried away with this "carrying your life around". But seriously, its like you can take your backpack full of books or all of your computer stuff and put a few handhelds in their place, maybe. And then you can have more room for important stuff. If you make everything into data you can fit that data almost anywhere. Somethings wont turn into data, like a piano or a car. But then you get into hooking peoples brains up to computers, "The Matrix" etc. But I like mobile ideas that are not a waste but instead are a saving of space. Space is only a certain amount in any case and you have to fill it the best way you can.

Actualy you can have a piano program on your PC, and play it pretty nice with some 5.1 dolby speakers! But one thing you can't make into data is clothes! I can't wear a digi-sock! hahaha

Voice chat is definitely going to have to be with these new games, handheld and console. People want to put some of their devices together and that makes a cell phone and a game in one. Not just that but you can talk in the game or before or after it. It adds a little bit more to how you can have fun with the game. I only wonder if we'll have commercials on there soon? And will chat programs pop up? Will there even be some kind of DS Net Phone?
