I have seen lots of people use this before, but I never knew what it really meant.
i.e. (I was wondering what the letters stood for)

Actually, that's a really good question. i.e. is an abbreviation of a Latin word id est, which means that is ;D

since I posted this I found an Acronym Finder add-on to my Firefox and I used it to look this up.
It said i.e. = that is
It also said e.g. = Example

I think they should call it ex. because that would make more sense, rather than trying to be all cool with the Latin. That's just my opinion though.
